First United Methodist Church of Monroe offers Christian education in a variety
of ways – Sunday School, Wednesday Night Suppers & Programs, Disciple Bible Studies,
and more. This page has been designed to tell you briefly about the Sunday School
programs for adults available here.
All Sunday morning classes begin at 9:45, so that you may attend either the 8:45
Contemporary Service or the 11:00 Traditional Service. Each class is unique and
the curriculum varies, yet all are devoted to learning more of what it means to
walk with Christ.
You are cordially invited to attend – at any time – any of the classes offered.
Our Sunday School Superintendent and Education Committee Chairperson are both more
than happy to answer any questions you may have about the Sunday School programs.

Daily Walkers
Second Floor, Adult Center
Jim & Joanne Campbell
770-267-3020
The class began in 1990, and we study the individual books of the Old and New Testaments.
The teaching is expository and discussion is encouraged and appreciated. The goal
of the class is to demystify the Bible by showing the relationship of its various
books to the history of God's people, by revealing the Judaic roots of Christianity,
and by its proclamation of the greatest of all messages… God's plan and provision
for the salvation of all mankind. While it is helpful to attend the study of an
entire book of the Bible, you may drop in at anytime since God's Word is such that
each lesson contains beneficial truth ready to apply today. Our class is a mix of
individuals and couples either side of forty-something, though any age is welcome.

Marriage Matters
Room 201, Education Building
Rotational Schedule
770-267-6526
When this class began in 2006, the vision for the group was to be a place where
couples would find guidance in their relationships with each other and with God
as they themselves nurture their children through the parenting years. Couples and
single-parents of young or older children find a sense of comfort and nurturing
in the weekly studies and occasional social gatherings.
